Minnesota Wine. Memorable Gatherings. A Destination in the Making.
Founded by Jack and John, Thicket Hill began with a few vines in 2011. Set among the rolling hills near the confluence of the Crow and Mississippi Rivers, the family vineyard is growing into a destination for Minnesota wine, weddings, and gatherings just outside Minneapolis.
Working within Thicket Hill’s existing logo, E ✣ WEST developed the visual expression surrounding its wine collection. Emily Westberg selected the typography and created an original hand-painted artwork for each of the six labels: Headwaters, Prairie Blossom, Twilight, Deep Current, Wild Rose, and Jack’s Vino.
Each painting interprets its wine through landscape, movement, memory, and place. A restrained typographic system gives the collection structure, allowing the artwork and natural character of the vineyard to remain at the center.
On-location photography documented the land as it continues to take shape, capturing both what Thicket Hill is today and the destination it is becoming.
