Chiarella

Chiarella

Over 60 years in Italy. For the first time in the United States.

Chiarella has been bottled at its source since 1964. For three generations, the family-run company has quietly poured into some of Italy’s finest hotels and restaurants, carrying water from Monte Grona to tables across Lake Como.

As Chiarella prepared to enter the United States, Emily Westberg was brought in to translate that legacy for a new market. The challenge was not to reinvent the brand. It was to make its provenance, ritual, design, and value clear to an American audience without losing the restraint that made it distinctly Italian.

In partnership with Chiarella, E ✣ WEST created a comprehensive brand book and U.S. sales book, positioning the company within a new category of curated, on-premise water. The system brought together its family history, single source, award-winning bottle, verbal identity, visual language, hospitality rituals, partnerships, and distribution story.

The communication was designed around one principle: Italy builds atmosphere. The United States builds clarity. Both remain unmistakably Chiarella.

Created for chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, beverage directors, and hospitality partners, the work reframed water as an intentional part of the guest experience. Not another commodity on the table, but an invitation to Lake Como.
